Mira Kusumarini


Mira is the founder of EMPATIKU (My Empathy) and has been the Director since it was established in 2015. In 2018, Mira received the N-PEACE Award Winner …

(Untold Stories category) for her role as a leading member of the civil society movement in preventing violent extremism, promoting peace through dialogues and education. Working actively with children and women returnees reintegrating safely into society, Mira is at the forefront of de-radicalization efforts. As one of the co-founders, Mira led C-SAVE (Civil Society Against Violent Extremism) -a network of civil society organizations collaborating to address violent extremism in Indonesia and beyond. During her leadership, Mira has innovated system-change programs including Rehabilitation and Reintegration for ISIS affiliated returnees, which is now in the process to be adopted by the government of Indonesia. Mira has also initiated Community-Based Early Warning System against violent extremism, which works strongly with local Governments. From her past 33-year-career in the citizen sector, Mira brought high entrepreneurial quality and extensive managerial and programmatic experience addressing the country’s daunting issues. She has an extensive experience in the art of facilitation, partnering with the government, the media, the business sector, funding agencies and international communities.

She was one of executive board members of Dharma Wanita of PLN Pikitring Kalimantan, Balikpapan in 1992 – 2000 and of PLN Pikitdro Jabar, Jakarta in 1983 – 1988.  Since 2000 to present, Shinta has been working as a freelance design, constructor and development consultant. She was the manager of her own rental car business in Jakarta for five years before working as a finance officer at an insurance company PT. Asuransi Ramayana, Bandung for three years.

Mega Priyanti

two decades in facilitating and community organizing skills in different context and setting across Indonesia. Since 2017, Mega has been working with EMPATIKU to assist ISIS affiliated returnees, deportees, and former terrorist inmates in their social reintegration process. Currently, she is working with four local communities in the Cities of Tangerang and South Tangerang developing community-based early warning system for the community able to detect the early warning signs of extremism ideology. She also worked for AMAN Indonesia to assist communities with peace building activities in the post conflict areas of Poso, Madura, and Sampit for two periods of time (2007 – 2012 and 2018 – 2019). In 2003 – 2006, she worked with Search for Common Ground Indonesia on the women peace building program in Sampit and Madura as well as in the urban poor society in Jakarta. For three years in 2000 – 2003, Mega had appointed the chairperson of Suara Ibu Peduli presidium for women economic development issues.

Imran Dwi Putra

Imran gained his bachelor degree in business marketing from Widyatama University of Bandung. 

In the past 10 years, Imran has gained expertise and experience in communication field, since he started his own venture in design, photography and wedding organizer business translating his customer interests and needs into different creative design products. Imran further developed his online business on youth clothing products through which he gained experience managing the social media for values. Meanwhile, he was also a freelancer as a photographer and videographer, bulletin layout editor and website management at a civil society organization Ashoka.
