EMPATIKU engages civil society members to exercise their empathy while building their resilience capacity addressing violent extremism. By this capacity, community members develop community based early warning system and resolve early stage cases thus preventing the spread and the growth of the ideology at the community.
EMPATIKU also works with local communities and related local government offices to ensure a smooth social rehabilitation and reintegration of the ex-terrorist inmates and individuals already exposed to violent extremism ideology.
EMPATIKU’s innovative design is to equip people to drive change by providing creative learning experiences. The idea aims at solving barriers that whole child development is undervalued –the social and emotional learning as essential parts of children development through teachers’ professional development, curricular and school management system, parenting, community building, policy change, products and services development.
